Copenhaver, Marion E. Jr “Peanut”, 71, Shirleysburg, passed away Sunday January 19, 2025, at home surrounded by his family. Born October 22, 1953, Huntingdon, son of the late Marion E. Sr. and Clara (Edgar) Copenhaver. Survived by his loving wife, Deborah L. (Kirchoff) Copenhaver; children, Helen Whitsel and companion, Rob Burke; Marion Copenhaver III and companion, Paige Wagner; Jonathan Copenhaver; Elizabeth Mitchell and husband, Konrad; and Danielle Hendrickson and husband, Clyde; 22 grandchildren, Doug, Robbie, Sammi, Schae, Saun, Ray, Zach, Chris, Jax, Conner, Colby, Carley, Kenadi, Ella, Leah, Kenzie, Kayla, Ava, Landen, Clyde, and Vincent; 8 great grandchildren, Brinley, Briella, Chloe, Adalee, Raiden, Brylen, Aurora, and Theo; and sisters, Margaret Bragg and Florence Musa. Preceded in death by grandson, Justin; and a sister Mary Kester. Peanut was a 1971 graduate of Mount Union Area High School. He retired from Bonney Forge after 29 years of service. In his free time, he liked fishing and woodworking. He enjoyed his fury sidekick “Oscar” the wiener dog. Most of all he loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and attending all their school and sporting events. Family and friends will be received on Thursday January 23, 2025, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., and again on Friday January 24, 2025, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m., at the funeral home, William Bragg Jr., officiant. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 61 E.
