Marion Mavis Schroeder was born to Alfred and Bertha (Gaulke) Schroeder on March 16, 1939. She was baptized on April 9, 1953, by Rev. Gerhard Walters at Shible Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Marion and Kermit William Ehrenberg were married by Rev. Carl Werth on September 6, 1957, at Shible Immanuel Lutheran Church. Their marriage was blessed with three sons: Kevin, Rick, and Steve.
Marion was actively involved in their farm life while raising her boys. God and family were the most important things in her life. She was proud to be able to help take care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She enjoyed the outdoors, especially the sunshine on her and always admired a pretty flower. During the summer months, her typical “Fun Fridays” with grandchildren and great-grandchildren included a leisurely golf cart ride, which was one of her favorite activities because she loved pointing out all the beauty nature had to offer.
A true sports fan, Marion considered herself the best armchair cheerleader, shouting right along with her boys for the Minnesota Vikings and Timberwolves.
Marion was active in her home church Shible Immanuel Lutheran Church throughout her life. She and Kermit joined Trinity Lutheran Church in Appleton when they moved to Appleton in 2013.
Together, Kermit and Marion enjoyed attending threshing shows and displaying their collection. Kermit died on September 30, 2020. They enjoyed 63 years of marriage.
Marion attained the age of 86 years, six months, and four days.
She is survived by her son Steve and Leslie Ehrenberg of Appleton, grandchildren: Tim and April Ehrenberg, David (and fiancé Stephani) Ehrenberg of Morris, Melissa Ehrenberg of Morris, Justin and Michelle Ehrenberg of Clarkfield, Joel Ehrenberg of Madison; great-grandchildren: Damon and Katelynn Coots of Olivia, Adam and Erik Ehrenberg, Alyana and Marion Ehrenberg, Zane and Rhett Ehrenberg; great-great grandchildren Lyla Coots and Donovan Coots (to be born in November); daughter-in-law Lorrie Ehrenberg of Madison; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
