Marion Lynn Nophsker, 84, of Camp Hill, PA passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, May 2, 2025.
She was born March 21, 1941, in Johnstown, PA, the daughter of the late John N. and M. Irene (Lamison) Metzgar. She was the wife of Ronald J. Nophsker of Camp Hill, PA.
Marion graduated from Johnstown Central High School and attended Albright College and Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She worked as a Paralegal for 25 years while living in Madison, CT. She belonged to the American Contract Bridge League and played bridge for many years at the Camp Hill Bridge Club and the Harrisburg Bridge Club. In her younger years she enjoyed volunteer work for many organizations and volunteered her time cuddling ill babies at the hospital. Marion loved sailing the New England waters, was an exceptional artist with cross-stitch, and enjoyed generations of joy doing puzzles with family.
Marion is survived by her two sons, Jeffrey Nophsker, Mechanicsburg, PA and Jason Nophsker, his wife Michelle and their two daughters, Madison and Kayla all of Guilford, CT, and her brother, John (Jack) Metzgar, and his wife, the former, Judith Blair, and their son, Judd and his wife Gina, and their two sons, all of Oak Park, IL. Marion is also survived by two brothers-in-law, Timothy Nophsker and his children, Lynn Bertram and her husband Robert and their children, Reed and Devon all of Mechanicsburg, PA and Christian Nophsker and his wife Chava of Kitty Hawk, NC and Dr. Theodore Nophsker and his wife Pamela and their children of Hurst, TX.
The memorial service will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025, at 3:30 PM at the Myers-Baker Funeral Home, 1903 Market Street, Camp Hill, PA, with the visitation from 2:00 PM until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Marion's name to the Four Diamonds Fund at Hershey, for children cancer.
