Marion OMara Pfiffner
June 30, 1920 to June 13, 2023
Loving and life-of-the-party wife, girlfriend, sister, aunt, great-aunt, and friend-to-all died peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones. Although Marion was born in Dubuque, IA to Walter and Clara OMara, she headed west to Hollywood as soon as she found a way to escape the midwest. Marion is predeceased by Herman (Hal) Pfiffner, her loving husband of 28 years, and her six siblings. She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, their children, their grandchildren, and their great-grandchildren. Everyone who met Marion was immediately smitten by her charm, her love of life, her colorful stories, and being called darling. Marion was active in the Toluca Lake Garden Club and helped raise money for Children's Hospital Los Angeles. She appreciated the old charm of North Hollywood and created a party wherever she went. Marion had a zest for life that had her living at home independently for almost 103 years. Marion would consistently welcome family and friends with open arms and always made sure everyone had a good time. Her contagious laugh was loved by all and will live with us forever.
There will be a funeral mass on Monday, June 19, 2023, at 10:00 am at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in North Hollywood with a reception immediately following at Marions home.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Children's Hospital L.A.
