Marion Eldridge Taylor, passed away on January 23, 2026, in Dayton, Ohio, where she was born on September 11, 1935. Marion was a woman full of life, known for her happy and cheerful demeanor. She was energetic and had a knack for bringing comfort to those around her, especially her grandchildren, who were a source of much joy and worry for her.

Marion's faith as a Christian Scientist was a fundamental part of her life, guiding her through both good times and tough moments. She had a delightful sense of humor, often teasing and making those around her laugh. Her spunky personality endeared her to all.

Marion leaves behind a loving family. She is survived by her son, Rodney Jewett, and his wife, Linda Jones Jewett; her granddaughter, Robin Stewart; and her great-granddaughter, Rachel Stewart. Her daughter, Dena Stebbins, and her husband, Edward Stebbins, also carry her memory forward, along with her grandchildren, Andrew Barker, LaVone Barker, Zach Stebbins, and Chad Stebbins, great-grandchildren Graeson Stebbins, and Kynnley Stebbins. Her son, Charles Taylor, and his wife, Kasie Taylor, remember her fondly. They share their love with grandson Dakota Taylor and his wife, Sarah Taylor, Troy Taylor, and Peyton Taylor, and great-grandchild, Maverick.

Marion also held close bonds with her cousin, Joann Berger, her brothers-in-law, John and his wife, Trudy Kruczek, and her sisters-in-law, Mary Anne Ballard, Phyllis Kruczek-Spanier, and Linda and her husband, Terry Persinger. Additionally, she leaves behind many dear nieces and nephews, cousins and friends who will remember her spirit.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, John Taylor, a proud marine, her parents, Andrew and Daisy Eldridge, and her sisters, Veda Sweeney, LaVone Porter-Hylton, and Dixie Green. Marion’s legacy of love, laughter, and faith will continue to inspire her family and friends as they cherish the memories shared and the warmth she brought into their lives.

The family will receive friends on Monday, February 2, 2026 from 5-6pm at the Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45424. The service will begin at 6pm. Marion will be laid to rest next to her husband at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
