Marita Blackwell Obituary
In addition to her parents, John Bunyon and Eula Jeanette Gilbert, she was preceded in death by her husband, Retired United States Army Veteran, Willard Douglas Blackwell, who served in the Vietnam War; her sons, Braden Gilbert Blackwell and Jordan Douglas Blackwell; and her brother, Ray Gilbert. Left to cherish her memory include her son, Jareb Thomas Blackwell; her siblings, Karen Bullman, Melba Gilbert Huggins, Alton Gilbert, and Don Gilbert; her half-siblings, Lois McCarson and Robert Alvin Gilbert; and many nieces and nephews.
A private service in her memory will be held at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery in Etowah, NC. Shuler Funeral Home has the honor of serving the family.
