After knowing her for almost 50 years (wow), I still can't get past calling her Mrs. Battisti, because that's how I addressed her since I was 9 years old, when a little girl from down the street needed a job so that she could have a horse, she gave me that opportunity. I worked at Cedar Fair Arabians for 12 years until I was 21. She was a huge influential part of my childhood - the horses, the people, the experiences, and the stories, lots and lots of stories. I live far away now, and regret I will not be able to be there for the services. Every time I come home to Cleveland I made it a point to go and visit with her; I feel very grateful I was able to visit with her in December when I was home last.
My deepest condolences to the family - she was an amazing person and will be greatly missed.
