As a child who grew up in the city watching Fury, My Friend Flicker, Mr. Ed and other horse stories, it was my childhood dream to own one! Margie who was an experienced horse woman came into my life just as I was learning to ride and care for horses during my College years. My fondest memories is of her helping me learn about the real side of horsemanship and sharing time with her and Kara and Lynn at a stable in Hopkinton, Massachusetts where we were able to bring the girls to meet my horse and go on mini trail rides. Such pleasure in allowing them to experience the joy of riding. So Marg- you made it on horseback until you were 77, Good for you! At 71+ I'm still at it too, and have a few more years to catch up to you. I know that as you have crossed the Rainbow Bridge, you will be with your horses and mine! Take care of them all until we meet again. Looking forward to those never ending trail rides! For now, Rest in Peace with your beloved family and creatures.

We were deeply saddened to hear of the passing of our friend and neighbor Marg Dakers. Her kindness, strength and generosity had touched everyone in our family. My children had a fun surrogate grandmother (and grandad) next door that they couldn't wait to see! Even our grandchildren were bounding over there to spend some quality time with Marg. Although she is no longer with us her compassionate spirit lives on through many generations.
