Marjorie Ann Ferazzi, 98, of Duluth, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, September 21, 2024. Born on August 19, 1926, to Gustav and Esther Olson, Marjorie was a lifelong resident of Duluth.
Marjorie and her husband Joseph owned a five-plex for several years. Marjorie was the heart and soul of the operation, taking on the role of “maintenance man,” cleaning and painting apartments while raising their daughter. After selling the complex, she worked at Maurice’s Distribution Center until it closed. In the 90s, she found joy working at Arkulary’s Grocery store, where she took grocery orders over the phone, did the shopping, and set up deliveries. This was her favorite job, as it allowed her to connect with people and serve her community.
Marjorie had a passion for golf and bowling, excelling in both and placing in several local and regional tournaments. She was also a fantastic cook and loved organizing gatherings and potluck events at her apartment complex, where she lived for 26 years. Her culinary skills and warm hospitality brought people together and created lasting memories.
Above all, Marjorie cherished her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her wit and spunk kept everyone on their toes, and her love and guidance will be dearly missed. GG Marge, as she was affectionately known, leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and resilience.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and her husband Joseph. She is survived by her daughter, Amy Jo (David) Wilson; grandchildren, Kristy (Wells) McGiffert and Michael (Sara) Wilson; and great-grandchildren Emilia, Bianca, Giulia, Mira, and Masen, along with other family and friends.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful residents of Woodland Gardens for the friendships and support Marjorie cherished over the years. She truly loved living there.
A celebration of Marjorie’s life will be held at a later date.
May Marjorie’s memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved her.
