MARJORIE WINFREY GRAY

Marjorie A. Winfrey Gray, born May 14, 1949, in Glencoe, Louisiana to the proud parents, Ernest Paul Metz, Sr. and Anna Mae Drexler. Marjorie was reared in Louisiana and received her formal education, where she graduated from Franklin High School, attended Southern University and she accepted Christ at an early age. Later in life she was united in matrimony to Herman Winfrey and to this union a beautiful baby girl was born, Dana Marie Winfrey. Marjorie was later united in marriage with Alvin Gray. Additionally, Marjorie was a faithful employee of Exxon Mobil, with 34 years of service and retirement in 2010.

Marjorie leaves to cherish her memory, a loving daughter, Dana Marie Winfrey Cooks (James Tuwell Cooks, Sr.), three grandsons, Jimmy Tyrone Winfrey, Tra'Von Herman Cooks Winfrey (Chelsea) and James Tuwell Cooks, Jr.; she also leaves to mourn her death, four siblings: Shirley Mae Allen (Houston), Rosa Lee Middleton (New York), Brenda Ross (Houston) and Ernest Paul Metz, Jr. (Doris) of Louisiana. Additionally, she leaves
to mourn a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and close friends.
