Marjorie (Pleva) Hartley, age 81, of Hudson, passed away Monday, December 1, 2025. Marjorie was the daughter of Stanley and Eleanor (Sala) Pleva and was born on October 24, 1944, at Byers Hospital in Ypsilanti, MI. Marjorie was a graduate of Hudson Area Schools and Cleary College. She was employed by Hudson State Bank for more than 40 years. She married William Hartley on October 7, 1972, at Sacred Heart Church in Hudson, MI and resided on the Hartley farm. Marge and Bill both took great pride in their home and loved their many dogs over the years. Marjorie loved attending the numerous large family gatherings over the years and truly enjoyed her interactions with all the Hartley Clan.
Marjorie is survived by her two brothers Joseph (Margaret) Pleva, and George Pleva; Sisters in law Ellen (Phil) Marvin, Mary Pence; 12 nieces and nephews; 27 Great nieces and nephews; and very special adopted granddaughter Ruthie (Brett) Mohr and their sons Jamie and soon to arrive Rhett. She was preceded in death by her husband Bill, Sister in laws Frances Kuenzer, Katie Peltier, Phyllis Pleva; Brother in laws John Kuenzer, Sheldon Peltier, Tom Pence, nephew Phil Marvin, great nieces Brittany Ames and Tricia Mosson.
The family will receive friends for a visitation at Sacred Heart Church, Hudson, Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated by Fr. Todd Koenigsknecht at noon. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Hudson.
Friends can express sympathies to the family online by visiting the tribute wall at www.marryfh.com. In lieu of Flowers donations can be made to the Hillsdale Schools in memory of Philip Marvin or Brittany Ames Scholarship Fund. Arrangements have been made with the guidance of the Marry Funeral Home, Hudson.
