Marjorie Louise " Margie" "Maggie" Jones, 79 of Barnesville, Ohio passed away on Friday, May 27, 2022 at Continuous Care Center Wheeling Hospital. She was born in Morgantown, West Virginia to the late Frederick William and Elizabeth Pauline (Hillegas) Schradel.
Marjorie was a life-long resident in Barnesville where she was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She spent several years as a bus driver for Barnesville Schools. She was an original co-owner of Turk's Trophy Shop then went on to retire after many years working at Anco Mining. In retirement Margie became a part of her beloved Friday Lunch Bunch and also the Junior Homemakers with whom she enjoyed years of laughs and friendships.
In addition to her parents Marjorie was preceded in death by her brothers, John Schradel and Donnie Schradel; sister-in law, Mary Schradel and brother-in-law, George "Butch" Finch.
Maggie is survived by her children, Jim (Denise) Jones of Barnesville and Tammy (Kelly) Gray of Thornville; sister, Karen Finch; sister-in-law, Pat Schradel. She was "Grandma Maggie" to six grandchildren, Allen (Christie) Jones, Ben (Carmeita) Gray, Lindsay Gray(Sean Corsi), Karly (Rick) Bostic, Drew Gray (Sabrina Richard) and Olivia (Jonny) Miller. What made her light up the last several years was her 16 great-grandchildren. Along with several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 from 3-7pm at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home 319 N. Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio. Services will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at 11:00 am with Pastor Van Fisher officiating. Burial will follow at Crestview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the First United Methodist Church in Barnesville and Valley Hospice.
