Marjorie Wood Phillips was born on November 3, 1927 in Savannah, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Anderson and Mamie Styers Wood.
On September 27, 1947, she was united in marriage to Bert Woodrow Phillips, who preceded his wife in death on March 23, 2013.
Marjorie was currently the oldest living member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She loved her church and the Lord. She enjoyed spending time going shopping and decorating.
Marjorie Wood Phillips departed this life on November 2, 2024 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 96 years, 11 months, and 30 days.
She is survived by her daughter, Gail Fondren (Dennis) of Savannah, Tennessee; daughter in law, Denice Phillips of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Todd Harrison (Jennifer), Scott Harrison (Starla), Bob Phillips (Stephanie), Beth Stephens (Brett), and Bart Fondren (Jennie); and great grandchildren, Ben Harrison, Jacquelyn Harrison, Braxton Harrison, Michael Harrison, Jacob Harrison, Anna Harrison, Emmy Stephens, Theo Stephens, Ryland Luker, Bella Phillips, Brooklyn Victoriana, and Makenna Victoriana.
In addition to her husband and parents, Marjorie was preceded in death by her son, Bobby Phillips; brother, Robert Earl Wood; granddaughter, Kelly Fondren; and great granddaughter, Madison Boston.
