Send FlowersMarjorie F. Shinholt, 72, Gas City, passed away at 4:30 am on Friday, December 5, 2025. She was born in Muncie, Indiana, on Thursday, June 11, 1953, to Burford and Marie (Janish) Peavler. On May 12, 2001, she married Myron C. Shinholt who preceded her in 2020.
She had countless friends and was a proud member of the Gas City Moose and was loved by many. She enjoyed playing Bingo, pull tabs, and was always the life of the party. She loved her work, her garden, and her flowers, staying active in every way-even jumping from an airplane. Her joy, energy, and adventurous spirit will be remembered by all.
Survivors include her children, Steve (Sheena) Dudding, Jennifer (Anthony) Byrd, Larry (Brenda) Dudding, Trent (Lisa) Shinholt; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Tim (Jackie) Peavler, Charles (Mary) Peavler, Margaret Shultz, Linda Faulstich, and George Peavler.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Burford and Marie Peavler; husband, Myron C. Shinholt; and daughter, Jackie Dudding; brothers, Lawrence Peavler, John Peavler Richard Peavler, Ed Peavler, Paul Peavler and Raymond Peavler; and sister, Wanda Heath.
The family will receive visitors from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St, Gas City, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Marjorie's life will begin at 1:00 pm with Pastor Mick Simpkins officiating. Burial will take place at Gardens of Memory - Marion.
