Marjorie Strickland Trautwein 1943-2025

Marjorie Strickland Trautwein, 81, of Naples, FL, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, surrounded by her loving family and friends.

Marjorie was born on December 13, 1943 in Paterson, N.J. She graduated from Hawthorne High School in Hawthorne, N.J. She earned a bachelor's and master's degree in Education from William Paterson University in New Jersey. Marjorie spent the majority of her career in education teaching at Midland Park, N.J. Elementary School. After retiring to Florida, she spent several years teaching at the Community School in Naples. Fla. Marjorie and her late husband, Andrew, were also owners of The Snow Den Inn in Mount Snow, Vt.

Marjorie is survived by her daughters, Cindy (Mark) Longo of Saint Augustine, Fla., Linda (Randy) Shul of Northville, Mich. and Laura (Gregg) Kirby of Gulf Breeze, Fla., her five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Andrew, her devoted daughter Pamela Trautwein and parents, John and Claire Strickland.

Her life was a beautiful reflection of her faith, full of kindness, compassion and a steadfast love for God and others. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend, whose gentle spirit and generous heart touched everyone she met. Marjorie's faith was her foundation, and her life was a testament to God's love. Though she will be deeply missed, her family and friends take comfort in knowing she is at peace in the presence of the Lord.

A celebration of Marjorie's life will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at The Naples Gathering, 3001 Santa Barbara Blvd., Naples, FL., 2:00 p.m. A celebration gathering will be held at the church following the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made by way of a tribute to The ALS Association of Southwest Florida.
