Mark Aemmer Obituary

Mark Anderson Aemmer, 51, of Borden, Indiana, passed away on December 14, 2024. He was surrounded by his loving wife of 20 years, Jill (Constantine) Aemmer, and his children, Lane and Emery Aemmer, mother, Beverly Rice, step-father, Frank Rice, siblings, Holly Aemmer (April), Tony Aemmer, Michelle Mitchell (Rob), Andy Rice, Brooke Lang (Garrett) and Nikki Tabor (Tim).

He was born on March 8, 1973 in New Albany, Indiana. Mark was preceded in death by his father, Anthony Aemmer.

Mark was happiest when spending time with his family. More than anything, he loved watching Lane play the drums and cheering Emery on in her cross country races. He spent much time in the woods hiking with his family and beloved dog, Wilson.

Mark was a generous, happy person who smiled easily. He had a huge heart and was full of gratitude. Mark had many hobbies, talents and could pretty much do just about anything - cook, hunt, fish, garden and was especially good at fixing things.

We are all eternally grateful for the community, friends and family that helped lift Mark's spirit with their love and friendship during these difficult months. Our family feels incredibly blessed by the immense outpouring of support, prayers, phone calls, visits and encouragement that we have and continue to receive. We cannot thank each of you enough.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 20, 2024 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (8310 St. John Road, Floyds Knobs).
