Mark Boese Obituary

Published by Porter Loring Mortuary North on Oct. 7, 2016.
On, Friday, October 7, 2016, Mark Timothy Boese passed suddenly from this earthly home to his home in heaven and was welcomed by Abba Father, his sister, Jocelyn Boese, and his grandfather, Arthur Boese. He was born in Westminster, Colorado and grew up in San Antonio, Texas. He attended Castle Hills First Baptist School until the 4th Grade, then, from 4th through the 11th grades, he attended Alamo City Christian Academy and graduated from John Madison High School. He attended University of Texas at San Antonio studying English and writing. He worked as a waiter and later as a cook at various restaurants around town. He loved to travel and explore where he lived. He would take quick jaunts around the city, or the countryside and eat at out of the way places. He had a passion for sports, soccer and basketball, in particular. He enjoyed doing things in the outdoors, rather than playing video games. He was creative, funny and witty. He was intelligent, a deep thinker and loved music. His passion was in writing poetry. Mark is survived by his father, his mother and step-father, step-brother, and step-sister, 2 grandmothers, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and Priscilla, the one he loved. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, October 14, 2016, at Porter Loring Mortuary North. GRAVESIDE SERVICE SATURDAY OCTOBER 15, 2016 10:00 A.M. Our love was a one in a lifetime. To feel a love like you gave me, Mark, was the greatest gift in life to me. Life will be so lonely on this earth without you. Without having my utmost favorite person in the world to talk to. My favorite thing to do with you was just talk. I will always always look for you and I will always miss you. There was a reason you were taken from us. God knows all the good work you have done and all the love you have spread and so do we. You had so much LOVE. The biggest heart I will ever know. It is now in the hands of those you shared with to carry on your message. Underprivileged, are the ones who never got to meet you or know you. Because my biggest gift on this earth was YOU. Your beautiful eyes were the most amazing. Your smile- the sweetest. Your touch-the safest and most comforting. You were my angel then, you are my angel now. I see you in my dreams. And I'll see you when it is my turn to leave this physical plane and join you in an everlasting one. I LOVE YOU INCREDIBLY SO. FOREVER AND EVER MY LOVE.

I went to school with Mark and his sister at Alamo City Christian Academy. My heart broke 13 years ago with the loss of Jocelyn, and it breaks again today. But we serve a Living God Who is in the middle of our anguish, as Scripture says. And today we do not mourn like those who have no hope.

I met Mark back when we worked together at The Alamo Drafthouse. We had our differences and small arguments here and there, but he really brighten me up whenever I had a bad day at work or just a bad day in general. He would always make me laugh if we worked together at the same station or just in general when we talked. As soon as I heard his passing, my heart dropped and I was in so much shock I had nothing to say. At least he is in a better place now. He was a good person to many.

I knew Mark and her sister from Alamo City. I remember he was hilarious and easier to talk to than most of the other kids. I still have lots of pictures and memories of him. He was my first huge crush. It is sad to see him go but good to know that he is in a much better place than this earth. You are in my family's thoughts prayers

I met Mark and Priscilla at the drafthouse. I was, as we all were, shocked to hear he had gone. He was a kind man, funny and friendly. One of the first people to talk to me at the DH. I will always associate Where's Waldo with him.

My condolences to his loved ones. You all have an angel now, as you did while he was on Earth. <3
