Remembering Mark on the 20th anniversary of 9/11...

Each day I read one of these memorials and I am reminded that these were people going about their normal days until the abnormal hit. I can find something in common with each one of these precious human beings, and today I see that Mark Stephen grew up in Woodbridge. I graduated from Woodbridge High School in 1973! I pause today to reflect on Mark, and to pray for his friends and family as they continue to remember him. We will never forget. Much love from Texas.

A Memorial from a Stranger

We visited the Memorial Garden on 06/29/18. It was the first place we went to on our trip the New York. It is a lovely memorial to those who lost their lives that day.
But then we spotted your name it it brought us a little closer to everyone who died.
God rest your soul.

I am doing my whole report on 9.11 on you, Mark. I will be thinking about you and all your sacrifices for others the whole time I am writing this very special paper for you.

Rest in Peace. Thinking of all Rahway Residents who perished this day 12 years ago.

Mark, this is my first time in New York since 9/11. In the past I have tried to celebrate my wedding day on Sept. 11 - my wife and I have been married 8 years now and have two kids - Kieran and Michaela. Moving forward, I will say a prayer for you every morning of Sept. 11th to let you know that Carneys' around the world think about you.

As I cross-stitched your name on the memorial that I am doing for all of the victims, I prayed for you and your family. Please know that your death was not in vain. We will always remember. God Bless.

In memory....

Mark, both you and your brother chose to become Americans. You loved living here, and you were loved by so many. We mourn your loss knowing a renewed resolve to work for peace as a remembrance of your wonderful life.

Rest in his loving peace now and forever more. May God Bless the family and friends that are left behind.

I never knew you, but I will make a quilt block in your honor for the Memorial quilt project. All I have read leads me to believe you were greatly loved and admired.

Today is 2/26/02 a sad moment in my life because i may lose my job soon. Then i call you to help me in my new job search and i find you lost something even greater. Your life. It helped me to put things in perspective. I am truly saddened to hear you are no longer with us, of all the recruiters who always called me you were always so friendly and professional. You will be missed.

I miss you a lot. You were a good friend and a fine human being. I hope they have the TV Land channel up there. God bless you.

America Cries
