Mark Cheers Gravity Mark S. Cheers, 41, of Gravity, died Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at the Alegent Health Mercy Hospital in Corning. Memorial services will be 6:30 p.m. Saturday, December 18, 2010 at the Powers Funeral Home junction of highways 34 and 25 in Creston. Visitation with family receiving friends will be 5:30-6:30 p.m. service time Saturday. There will be no viewing. Memorials can be directed to his family. Online condolences may be given under the obituary category at www.powersfh.com. Mark Steven Cheers was born July 29, 1969 in Creston, Iowa to Edward Lee Crago and Wilma Ilene (Clayton) Crago. He was educated in Creston schools and later received his GED. After finishing school, Mark moved to the Omaha area where he did commercial construction in Omaha for around 7 years and worked with the Union. He moved to Creston, and then in 2007, he moved to Gravity. Mark loved his dog Rock and liked to ride his motorcycle. Survivors include his stepfather, Ed Crago of Creston; one brother, Frank Cheers in Springfield, Mo.; two sisters, Nancy (husband Dave) Higgins of Gravity, Ia.; Deanna Cheers of Cromwell, Ia. and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother Ilene, his sister, Monica Millard and a niece. Carey Millard.
