Mark K. Cloud, age 50, of Hot Springs, died Monday, September 10, 2007, in a local hospital.

He was born on January 17, 1957 at Monticello, the son of Harry Cloud and Mary Rook Cloud.

He was a charter member of Lakeside Baptist Church, a retired landscaper and United States Navy Veteran of the Vietnam conflict with service aboard the USS Kittyhawk.

He is survived by his wife, Rita James Cloud of Hot Springs; two step-daughters, Jessica Thomason and husband Rob and Melissa Smith all of Hot Springs; four grandchildren; his father and mother, Harry and Mary Cloud of Hot Springs; four sisters, Kay Thompson and husband Joe of Shreveport, Louisiana, Valerie Cloud of Jacksonville, Florida, Melanie Mumford of Hot Springs and Kim Derris of Magnet Cove; nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM. Thursday, September, 13, 2007 in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs with Dr. Morris L. Cloud officiating.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday evening.
