I have many fond memories of adventures and time spent with Mark. I think my fondest memories are of sitting around smoky fires way too early in the morning waiting for coffee to percolate at reenactments. Quietly talking and watching the world come alive around us. Oftentimes, (before the advent of the gps) Mark, Amy, Teresa and myself would pile in the truck on the way to reenactments in the middle of nowhere, Missouri. Seems like we inevitably got lost. Mark blamed Teresa. While we were attempting to find our way he would be singing the opening song to the movie "Paint your Wagon" "Where are we going? I don´t know. When will we get there? I ain´t certain. All I know is I am on my wayyyy!" Makes me laugh to this day. I am sure when I join him in heaven Mark will have the fire stoked and the coffee on!
