Mark Denlinger Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Voran Funeral Home - Taylor Chapel on Dec. 6, 2025.
Mark Edward Denlinger, a man whose laughter echoed louder than his truck's horn, embarked on his final journey from this world on December 2, 2025, in his beloved hometown of Taylor, Michigan. Born on January 10, 1965, to Thelma and the late Karl Denlinger, Mark's life was a testament to the joy and humor that can be found in every moment.
Mark was the captain of his own ship, both literally and figuratively, as the proud owner and operator of a trucking company for over 40 years. He was a perfectionist to a fault, ensuring every delivery was as timely as his punchlines. His work ethic was only matched by his ability to make even the grumpiest of toll booth operators crack a smile.
An avid boater, Mark's crown jewel was his Crownline boat, the "Wolfman," a loving tribute to his dad. He was the unofficial mayor of Belleville Lake and the Detroit River, where he spent his days making waves and friends. His spiritual side was as deep as the waters he navigated, with a love for his Savior, Jesus Christ, that was as unwavering as his boat in a storm.
Mark's sense of humor was as vast as the open road. He loved people and could strike up a conversation with anyone, anywhere, anytime. His laughter was infectious, his generosity boundless, and his jokes were funnier than a three-legged dog trying to bury a bone on an icy day.
He leaves behind a loving family: his mother, Thelma; his sisters, Mary (Robert) Ulm and Kim Hudson; his brother, Adam (Felicia) Denlinger; his niece, Crystal; his nephew, Adam Jr; and a convoy of other loving relatives and friends who will miss his humor and heart.
In the words of the great Robin Williams, "You're only given a little spark of madness. You mustn't lose it." Mark certainly never lost his spark. He was the embodiment of love, generosity, and humor, leaving behind a legacy of laughter and a roadmap for joy.
As we bid farewell to Mark Edward Denlinger, let us remember the miles of smiles he left in his wake. He may have signed off on his final logbook, but his stories will keep on trucking in the hearts of all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Keep on boating, Mark, and save us a seat at the great comedy club in the sky.
Visitation Sunday, December 7, 2025 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the International Church of Metro Detroit, 31650 Van Born Rd, Wayne, MI 48184. Funeral Services will begin at the church starting at 7:00 p.m. Please share memories and/or leave condolences on Mark's guestbook on his tribute wall.
