Mark Morrall Dodge

Mark Morrall Dodge passed away peacefully on February 16, 2026. He was a History professor at CSULA and Pasadena City College for 41 years and was well loved by his students. Mark was the author of "Pasadena City College: A History Commissioned on the Occasion of the Seventy-Fifth Anniversary" and was the co-editor of "City of Promise: Race & Historical Change in Los Angeles."

He was a world traveler who visited all 7 continents. Mark attended high school at the Auckland Boys Grammar School in Auckland, New Zealand. His Master's degree was in History from CSULA. Mr. Dodge was an accomplished musician and loved his 2 dogs, Stella and Murphy. He'll be remembered as the kind, loving man that he was.

Mark is survived by his wife Ahni Dodge, his sister Anne Dodge and his brother Allen Dodge. He was predeceased by his parents, Greydon Benjamin Haas Dodge and Dorothy Morrall Dodge.

Plans for a celebration of life for Mark are pending.
