William Mark Edson (age 69) was born May 2nd, 1956, in Enid, Oklahoma, to William (Bill) Edson and Zona Jean Edson (Downs) and passed away on January 4, 2026, in Enid. Mark attended and graduated from Enid High School in 1974. After graduation, he worked at Log Master as a technician and engineer. He enjoyed his time working there and traveling to Algeria and the UAE in the late 80's, testing and building water wells. In the 90's, he worked many jobs where he mastered a wide variety of trades (KC electric, G&C equipment, the Blood Institute, Cornforth Key Shop, ATM machines in both Oklahoma and Colorado) and made many friends that became like family. In the 2000's, he took his skills in another direction as a copy machine technician for Copiers Plus and was assigned to Enid Public Schools, where he enjoyed going into the elementary schools, saving the day for the teachers and admin. He retired from Tyson Foods in 2020.
Mark had a wide range of hobbies and interests, from photography, videography, camping, boating, bike riding, hiking, road trips, wine and beer making, baking bread, and farm animals. He loved gardening and plants of all kinds. He enjoyed having fish tanks that he would fill with exotic fish and interesting plants. He was creative and curious and could fix pretty much anything. He dearly loved his family and grandchildren. He was very proud of his 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and loved spending time with them.
He was married to Connie Daily from 1976 to1981 and had his first daughter Stephanie Jean Edson, in 1977. In 1982, he married Kathryn Lundberg with whom he built a lifelong marriage and three more children, Karlee Pool, Kory Edson, and William Kyle Edson.
He was preceded in death by his son William Kyle Edson, grandson Jeb Jones, his son-in-law Damon Brown, his parents Bill Edson, Zona Jean Downs Davis, Stepmother Donna Edson, and brother Steve Hager.
He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Edson, daughters, Stephanie Loggins (Aaron), Karlee Pool (Jerry Jones), and Kory Edson, ten grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren, his brothers Dana Hager (Deb), Jeff Edson (Rena), and sister Cindy Willman (Jimmy).
