Mark Furden Obituary

Age 69, of Oscoda, MI passed away on Friday, November 7, 2025 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 4th, 1956 in Grand Blanc, MI to the late William and Joyceann (Edmonds) Furden. After graduating high school, he served in the United States Marine Corps for two years before beginning work for General Motors. There he gave over 35 years of service, during which Mark met the love of his life, Arlene May Ostrander, and they were wed in 1990. An avid hunter and fisherman, Mark enjoyed his time in nature as well as making memories with his family. Mark and Arlene loved to travel together, vacationing in Michigan's beautiful Upper Peninsula for their anniversary most years in St. Ignace. Mark is survived by his loving wife, Arlene; children, Jessica (Kyle Bruff) Rocheleau, Sheyenne Furden, and Chely Furden; siblings, Susanne (Dale) Aidif, Joe (Dee) Furden, Tina (Mike) Throop, and Gina Homer; grandchildren, Miranda Rosas, Justin Rocheleau, Ariana Rocheleau and Maxine Furden and great-grandchildren, Ivy Miller, Khaleesi LaBelle and Christopher Meyers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved grandson, Cody LaBeff and brother, William Furden. The family will welcome friends on Friday, November 14, 2025 from 12 PM – 8 PM at Buresh Funeral Home in Hale, MI and again on Saturday, November 15, 2025 from 12 PM until the time of the service beginning at 2 PM. Memorial contributions can be directed to the family and you may offer your condolences online at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com.
