GOD mustve needed you up there. i miss all the happy smiles you gave me & inspiration & motivation.your music lives in my heart & soul.. .love always, my friend mark gray.

I was sad to see on the CMA Awards that Mark Gray had passed away. He was one of my favorite artists in the 80's and I had the opportunity to meet him when he came to a Chris Collingsworth Celebrity Golf Tournament. He was a talented songwriter and recording artist. it is very sad that he has passed away at such a young age.

Mark and I went to school together years ago on Lookout Mountain. I just saw on the CMA Show of Mark's passing! I admired the way he played and sang even at a young age! My Mom loved his songs. I am proud to have known Mark. Rest in Peace, Guy!

Mark...I just found out you have moved onto Bigger and better Things.... I owe you so much. You were my inspiration from the first time I heard your voice, until the the day that we met. When you called my Messege machine and asked me to come to your house to write, I remember, I was having Lunch at Denny"s, and the poor Truck driver standing at the Pay phone next to me, thought that I had lost my mind. Just now learning of his passing. He was my roommate in Nashville when he was writing for the Oak Ridge Boys Publishing. He wore my piano out every nite, up late working on songs. Great talent.

Wow I just found out today that Mark took the ultimate trip we are All gonna take . I knew him and his brothers well especially Dennis , I'm gonna go up on the mountain one clear cold nite an see if i can hear him playing that piano to the Angels an singing his heart out like he did in church in Bovina ms. back in the day :)

I am so sorry to hear of Mark's Death. I worked with him in the late 70's at Oliver's and Papillon's in Jackson, MS. He was a great singer/song writer. wish we would have stayed in touched.

Janice, This just breaks my heart, and I am just now hearing about it. I have so had you and Mark on my mind lately and perhaps this is why. My condolences and prayers to the Gray Family. May God give them strength. I did not know he wrote songs for Alabama. He was a talented songwriter. I love the group Alabama. I saw them in person once. Psalm 23.

The loss to the country music world is devastating. May the family be comforted by memories of Mark's life and music success. Look to the future when God's kingdom will return humans and the earth to their original purpose.

I am so sorry to learn of the passing of Mark Gray. Our son passed away recently so I can imagine what his family is going through at this time. I have always been comforted by the words found in Psalm 61:2 "From the ends of the earth I cry out to you when my heart is in dispair. Lead me onto a rock that is higher then I am.

Although I never really had the privilege of knowing Mark when we were in high school here in Vicksburg, but I did have an enjoyable conversation with him at Ameristar Casino. We actually sat next to each other on the blackjack table several years ago. He was truly a nice guy and so very, very talented. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. Rest in peace and I know you will be doing some entertaining in Heaven...
