Mark Hammer Obituary
Mark graduated from Chambersburg Area Senior High School in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. He enlisted into the United States Navy following high school. He was Honorably Discharge from the United States Navy in December of 1994. In 1994, he married Marla Jean Wooten in Lakeside, California. They made their home in Riverside, California for 10 years before moving to Lake Panorama in 2007. In December of 2025, they moved to Perry.
Mark enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating, wood working, watching westerns, ice fishing with Brad, and summer fishing with Brian.
He is survived by his wife, Marla Hammer of Panora; daughters, Carmon Iredale of Panora; Britney Iredale of Arizona; & Andrea Hammer of Panora; granddaugther, Cayden; parents, Robert & Dorothy Hammer; brothers, Ron, Larry, Loren, and Scott Hammer; and sisters, Dionne Gomer and Dawnell Hoffeditz. He was preceded in death by his sister Daurie Hammer.
Cremation has taken place and burial of his cremains will be held at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery, near Van Meter, at a later date.
