Mark Anthony Hill

Mark Anthony Hill, 64, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital.

Mark was born in Evansville, Indiana on June 8, 1961 to the late Louis Earl and Wilda Rhea (Cobb) Hill. He was a 1979 graduate of Tecumseh High School and most recently worked as a head custodian for the EVSC. Mark previously worked at Keller Crescent for many years where he played on their national championship softball team. He enjoyed running marathons and was proud to have qualified for the Boston Marathon twice and was able to run it once. Mark also enjoyed camping, grilling, gardening, spending time with his animals and was an avid Indiana University and Chicago Bears fan. Above all else, Mark loved spending time with his family. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend.

Mark is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Rhonda (Watkins) Hill; daughters, Whitney Rhea Hill and Sally Irene Johnson (Duron); sister, Jozetta Roth (Ryan); brother, Jon Hill (Dynee); grandchildren, Kayla Cartwright and Jalen Cartwright; nieces and nephews, Ashley (Austin), Taryn (Jack), Kymber (Corbe), Kaylee, Jordan (Audra) and Taylor (Kaden); many great-nieces and great-nephews; and by his fur-babies, Josie, Jasper, Jaxy and Harley.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Timothy Hill; nephew, Landon; and by his fur-babies, Baby Girl, Josie and Jaxson.

Funeral services for Mark will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at Concordia Lutheran Church, 2451 Stringtown Rd., Evansville, IN 47711 with Pastor David Wiist officiating. Burial will follow at Park Lawn Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711 and again from 9:00 am until service time on Wednesday at the church.
