The girls at the Walmart vision center loved Mark. We´ve known him for years and he always visited us everytime he was in. He always made us smile we had been praying for Mark so much the past couple years with all his health issues. He will be dearly missed and someone we will always remember. Rest now Mark, you´re no longer in pain.

Hello, I am so sorry for your loss. My name is Mark Hogg, too. I live in Louisville, KY. I hope this is appropriate to share. I never got to tell Mark or anyone that I could find that knew him this story. It was sometime in the mid 1990's. I guess Mark was getting opportunities to be in public and becoming more and more well known. My wife and I knew anytime he was TV or made an appearance because our phone would start ringing off the hook and keep ringing for hours with people wanting to talk about his world record, worms, hunting, etc. They even wanted to interview me. Honestly, it was frustrating, then comical, then just a part of life and we had a great story to tell. Everyone we talked to was familiar with Mark and we still share the story to this day. Whenever we happened to answer the phone we told them wrong Mark and that he lived in KY as well. But, I will admit a time or two I couldn't help myself. My favorite call was morning - EARLY - like 6.30AM on a week day. A radio show called for an interview from out west. It was one of those fast fun talking duo guys. Well...I just went with it!! I pretended to be Mark Hogg the worm eater and had a great time. I worked at it and did pretty good. The radio guys kept talking to me and asking questions and we were laughing, etc. That was awesome. Maybe it helped Mark out a little. My wife and I wondered about the people sitting on their sofa watching TV and seeing Mark and then thinking to pick up the phone and try to call him. He probably had no idea something like this was happening. I hope this brings a smile to you in your sadness.
