Mark Allen Hubbard of Rockford, MI 2/26/1954 to 12/3/24
A father, grandfather, brother, son, uncle and friend. He was the best fisherman, you would see him almost every day trolling through pike alley on Bostwick Lake during the summer. Always offering to take whoever wanted to go catch a fish. He loved playing basketball, football, track, bowling and golf and was a true all around superstar athlete. He is in the Rockford Athletic Hall of Fame and broke many records while in high school. He was awarded the John Bos Athletic Scholarship award his senior year of high school. He won many golf tournaments following high school and was able to play at Pebble Beach and Spyglass Hill. He also enjoyed astronomy and would set up his telescope so his 3 girls could see the stars and the rings around Saturn. He was always amazed by the galaxy and creation.
Most of all he truly enjoyed spending time with his daughters and grandchildren. He was proud of them all and would let everyone know it. The sunsets, fishing and fish frys on the Lake will never be the same.
He is survived by his daughter Katie (Joel) Elenbaas, Heather (Marc) Andres, grandchildren Leia, Gavin, Landen and Luke. His brother Dan (Lois) Hubbard and many nieces, nephews and friends. Proceeded in death by his parents John and Esther Hubbard, brothers Tom and Rod (Shellee)and his daughter Kristin.
