Mark Allen Hust, 66, of Whitney Point, New York, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2026.

Mark was born on January 28, 1960. He spent much of his life in Whitney Point, where he was well known in the community for his friendly personality and love of local activities. He was very proud of the time he spent serving on the WP Fire Department and Emergency Squad. He often shared stories with his children of helping people. He worked for many years at BorgWarner, where he built lasting friendships and earned the respect of his coworkers.

Mark enjoyed spending time with friends and family and was especially known around town for his participation in local dart leagues and his love of golf. Over the years, he played in numerous leagues and tournaments at Ford Hill Country Club, where he shared many memorable rounds and laughs with friends.

Mark is survived by his wife, Renee Hust; his children, Brittany Hoagland and Austin Hust; and his cherished granddaughters, Laila, Milena, and Harmony. He is also survived by his siblings (listed in birth order as this was a long time tease by his siblings) Peggy (Blaine) Maus, Ron (Helen) Hust, Bobbi (and the late Jerry) Bush, and Brian (Corinne ) Hust, along with several nieces including Kris Watrous, Jennifer Pond, Melissa Phelps, and Julie Messina and nephews Jeffrey Hust and Steven Hust.

He was predeceased by his parents, Rena and Bill Hust.

Mark will be remembered for his easygoing nature, sense of humor, and the many friendships he built throughout his life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

The family will hold a celebration of Mark's life at a future date.
