Mark Temple Jackson, 75, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 12, 2025. A service celebrating his life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 18, at Tyler Road Southern Baptist Church.
After more than 30 years with Boeing, Mark retired and, alongside his beloved wife, Bev, dedicated his time to serving as a Southern Baptist Missionary. Together they traveled throughout the Midwest and into Canada, helping churches launch and grow their ministries. Arkansas became a particularly meaningful place in their mission work, as many churches there were ready to support others in carrying out the work of the Lord. Even through seasons of declining health, Mark never stopped sharing the love of Christ with everyone around him.
Mark also devoted much of his time to his family. He loved coaching his children’s sports teams and later, whenever he could, cheering on and coaching his grandchildren. Those moments of encouragement and teaching reflected the same patience and faith that guided his life’s work.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albion “Bud” and Dorothea Jackson; and his siblings, Dorothea (Jerry) Tufte and Steve Jackson.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 50 years, Beverly Jackson; his children, Jeff (Jamie) Jackson, Kara (Dave) Anderson, Marcus “Mark” Jackson, and Alan B. Jackson; his siblings, John (Linda) Jackson, Brian (Kathy) Jackson, Lisa (Kyle) Smith, and Lana (Dan) Lyda; his grandchildren, Sofia Cruz Jackson, Addison Jackson, Jaxon Roszel, Lance Anderson, Evony Roszel, and Jedidiah Jackson; as well as many extended family members and dear friends.
Mark’s faith, kindness, and dedication to serving others left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
