Mark James Janssen, age 57, of Taylors Falls, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on November 8th,2025. In his last remaining hours, he was surrounded by those who loved him most.
Mark was born on September 21st, 1968 in Chisago City Minnesota to Thomas and Evelyn Janssen. With 3 older brothers, Phillip, Andrew and Matthew Janssen who may or may not have greeted him with open arms. It was from the very beginning, he filled the world with laughter, kindness, and an unshakable spirit. To know Mark was to know a man who would give you the shirt off his back, who worked hard, loved deeply, and always found time to lend a helping hand.
Taylors Falls was not just where Mark lived — it was where he built a life after his 20 years of service to the Marine Corps, full of meaning, family, and friends . He found joy in hunting, wood working, and when he wasn’t watching his favorite sports with his closest people, he would dabble in baking goodies for his girls, grandkids and anyone willing to try his newest creations.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, a loyal friend, and simply just the kind of person who made everyone feel at home. His laughter was contagious, his heart was generous, and his love for his family knew no bounds.
Mark is survived by his wife, Lorrie Janssen, his oldest daughter Kayla Kieser, her spouse Tony Kieser and their children Brady and Billie Kieser. Their youngest daughter Katlynn Rod, her spouse Brandon Rod and their children Cian, Kalyrra, Zarek and Wallace Rod, who will carry his spirit with them forever.
