Mark J. Kellerman of Palos Heights passed away on July 22, 2025. Born May 24, 1956, in St. Louis, Missouri to George P. Kellerman and Agnes H. Kellerman, he was the youngest of three children and the only son. While his father was active in the Navy, Mark lived in Missouri, California, and lastly, Illinois. He was a 1974 graduate of Glenbrook South High School in Glenview, IL, where he was a member of the baseball team, cross country team, and covered sports for the school paper. He continued his education at Eastern Illinois University, where he earned a BA in Business with a minor in marketing, and was a pitcher on the Eastern Illinois Panthers baseball team. In 1979 Mark completed his MBA studies at Arizona State University.

He spent over 40 years as a medical sales representative, spending over 32 years working for Kimberly-Clark Professional Health Care. He was currently employed as a Clinical Product Specialist for the Halyard division of Owens & Minor.

Mark had a love for baseball. Although a loyal Chicago White Sox fan, he would attend the occasional Cubs game just for the opportunity to see professional baseball. For many years he played baseball in the local Roy Hobbs Over 30 Amateur Adult Baseball League. His love of running continued for many years, completing numerous 5k races and 9 half marathons.

Mark is survived by his wife, Sandra, daughter, Stacy Kellerman (fiancée, Nick Dowdal, children, Madeline and Nicholas), and son, Matthew Kellerman. He is survived by his grandson, Noah Colson, mother, Agnes Kellerman, and sisters, Patricia Allison and Sharon (Edward) Faltemier. Mark is survived by brothers-in law, Mark (Patricia) LaVelle and Raymond LaVelle, as well as sister-in-law, Shelly LaVelle (late Michael Johnson), along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, George Kellerman.

Mark was deeply loved by his immediate and extended families, and he was devoted to them. He was immensely proud of his children and grandson. He loved family gatherings, reunions, and get-togethers, where he could talk to everyone, exchange stories, and learn something new. He was a compassionate and generous man who was always willing to help others, and was a friend to many.

Mark is one of the best at what he did. He was caring and thoughtful towards everyone. A very gentle soul. I will pray and have a mass said in his honor for Mark and his family. May he rest in peace.

Although I lost touch with Mark through the years, he was a great teammate at EIU. I remember him as a first class human being. I am so sorry for your loss.

I was fortunate to know Mark as a kind and thoughtful teacher at Kimberly Clark. He took the time to demonstrate the art of selling and doing the right thing for the customer. He was eloquent, humble, and professional at all times. In the late 90´s he still carried a large leather selling suitcase that was incredibly worn. When I asked why he didn´t get a new one, he told me it was like a baseball glove...finally worn in. So he kept a little baseball sentiment with him every day. Rest in peace, Mark.

Mark was a gentleman in everything he did, and the trait that impressed everyone one was his RESPECT for life. I had the pleasure of working with Mark for many years in the Chicago area and he would always go out of his way to help others. May God bless his family and know we will all meet again and laugh about the good times they and we all enjoyed by knowing him.
