Mark Langon Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Mission Park Funeral Chapels Cherry Ridge on Dec. 26, 2025.
Mark Anthony Langon, beloved husband, brother, uncle, and cousin, joined his Lord on December 17, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on June 21, 1978, in Kingston, New York, to Margot Olsen and Anthony Michael Langon, both of whom preceded him in death.

Mark is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Tracey; his cherished siblings and their spouses: Lisa and Todd Snyder, Karen and Will Decker, Linda Olsen and Todd Lasher, and Rick and Denise Olsen. He is also survived by his nephew Todd Snyder Jr.; his nieces Lauren Olsen and Janelle Leipheimer (Kevin); and his great-nephew Otto Leipheimer.

Mark is further survived by his cousins-brothers in every sense of the word-Jeremy Mayr and John Mayr Jr., and was preceded in death by Joshua Paul Langon. He is also survived by his aunt Erika Wangerzym, cousin Natalie Mfundshe, and second cousin Michelle Wangerzym.

Coaching and teaching Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and peek-a-boo style boxing were Mark's greatest passions. He took immense pride in supporting and developing his students and fighters, forming lasting bonds through discipline, dedication, and respect.

Mark will be remembered for having the heart of a lion and the ferocity of a wolf. His loyalty, humor, and indomitable spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Services will be held in New York.

I knew Mark from the gaming side, where he was extremely passionate, competitive, and supportive. He was always welcoming and encouraging, and the most helpful of teammates. I am so sorry for your loss; know that it is also profoundly felt in the gaming community. Rest in peace, dear friend.

It saddens me to hear of coach Mark passing. He helped pick me up during some dark times. Got me off my butt and competing again at one point. My deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.

I want to extend my deepest condolences to Mark's family and friends. I owe so much to his friendship. Mark supported, encouraged, and mentored me in many things but most importantly in my relationship with my now wife. It is no small statement to say he is the reason I have two beautiful boys of my own today. I'm deeply saddened in his passing but I will make sure they know the man he was and how important he is to my family.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Markus´s passing. He was a passionate JiuJitsu Blackbelt whose impact will be felt by so many for years to come.
Markus was like a big brother to me-always challenging me in ways that pushed me to grow, teaching me invaluable lessons about myself and the people I served. His passion for jiujitsu was infectious; he lived it, and he poured his heart into passing on his knowledge to others with vigor and enthusiasm.
His absence leaves a void that words can´t fully capture. He will be profoundly missed by many who knew him.
Rest in peace, bro.
