Mark Gademsky Obituary

Gademsky,

Mark Leonard

Mar 23, 1951 - Oct 19, 2025

A devoted father, loving husband, and cherished member of the Elmwood Village community, passed away peacefully. He was the first-born son of the late Leonard Gademsky and the late Joyce (Boyle) Gademsky. He was a proud graduate of North Tonawanda High School and continued his education at Union College, where he was a dedicated member of the Sigma Phi fraternity. Known for his friendly demeanor and sharp professional mind, Mark had a distinguished career as a recruiter owning his own business Nationwide Personnel Group. He spent many successful years connecting talented individuals with opportunities in the computer field and later brought his expertise to the pharmaceutical field. Beyond his professional life, Mark was a true community fixture in the Elmwood and Hodge neighborhood for decades, where he was loved dearly by the neighborhood. His presence there was one of warmth and kindness, contributing to the welcoming spirit of the block. Beyond his business and community contributions, Mark was a passionate advocate for family well-being. In the early 1990s, he became the founder and leader of the Fathers' Rights movement in Buffalo, NY. His dedication to this cause reflected his deep belief in the importance of parental roles and fair, equitable family law. Mark believed that every child deserved to have their father in their life. This work defined a significant part of his life, showcasing his willingness to stand up for what he believed in, Fathers Matter and demonstrating his powerful commitment to his values. Mark loved being a Dad and is described as the "#1 Dad". Family was the center of his world. He was the proud and loving father of his daughter, Lauren Masset, and found immense joy in being a grandfather to Maeve and Nola. He treasured his time with his granddaughters, especially their special Saturday family days, which created lasting, precious memories for everyone. He also shared a loving bond with his wife, Angie, who brought happiness and companionship to his later years and particularly looked forward to her wonderful cooking daily. He described his life as "Living Like a King". A man of diverse interests, Mark had a passion for collecting watches and locks, which reflected his appreciation for precision and history. Mark will be remembered for his love, his dedication to his family, and the indelible mark he left on his community. His spirit lives on through his loved ones and the many lives he touched. He is survived by his loving wife, Angie; his daughter, Lauren (Emily); and his adored granddaughters, Maeve and Nola. His siblings the late Kyle (Gademsky) Giammaresi, David, Douglas and Ann; Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL Home (Northtowns Chapel) 885 Niagara Falls Blvd, Amherst on Thursday from 4:00 - 8:00 PM. I am saddened to hear just this evening that my dear friend Mark has passed away. Mark was a true friend, a person who was always there to try to help Fathers going thru custody battles to be able to see there children, The most important thing in his life was his daughter Lauren, I stopped to see him at his office about 45 days ago and he was so proud to be a Grandfather. I only wish I would have spent more time with him, He was great person, the kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back, I will miss him dearly and ask our Lord to always watch over him and his Family, I know for certain, he is in heaven now helping other souls and his legacy will last forever on the Elmwood Ave, I will never forget the times we spent together talking at his office , he will always be in my prayers. Love you like a Brother my friend. See you soon.
