Mark Daniel Lickliter, aged 64, passed away on December 7 2024, at his residence in rural Bainbridge, IN, surrounded by his loving family. Born on November 13, 1960, Mark was known for his diverse talents and patriotic spirit.

Mark pursued a varied career, initially delighting patrons as a chef at the Walden Inn in Greencastle, IN. He later channeled his technical savvy into a successful stint as a self-employed computer technician, and also worked as an auto mechanic at Bainbridge Auto Service. Behind all these careers he always had building contractor skills taught to him by his father, Oscar. His academic journey included studies at Purdue University, which further broadened his horizons and skills.

A man of many interests, Mark was an avid motorcyclist, a passionate cook, a talented painter, and a lover of animals. His culinary skills were particularly renowned, often showcased during gatherings such as the 4th of July, where he celebrated the nations heritage with gusto. Mark also expressed his creativity through beautiful paintings, leaving behind vivid reminders of his artistic vision. He enjoyed scuba diving in Florida where he obtained his certification.

Mark was a beloved figure in his community and his family. He is survived by his daughters, April (Tyler) Ihrie and Erin (RJ) Fields; his mother, Paula Jo (Carrier) Lickliter; sisters, Kathy (Timothy) Hunt and Kerrin (Karl) Szewc; brother, Darryn Lickliter; two grandchildren; three nieces; and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his father, Oscar D. Lickliter; brother, Jeffrey M. Lickliter; and all his grandparents.

Services to honor Mark’s life will be held at Roachdale Baptist Church, 101 East St, Roachdale, IN 46172, with a public viewing from 11am to 1pm on December 16, 2024, followed by a service at 1:00pm. His interment will take place at Clinton Falls Cemetery. Mark’s life was a testament to his varied passions and his enduring love for his family and country.
