In Loving Memory of Mark Erwin Mackenthun
Mark Erwin Mackenthun, born on February 17, 1954, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2025. He was a loving father,
Mark's sarcasm would fill the room with laughter. Known for his good work ethic and his maple syrup, he was always there when someone asked for help. Throughout his life, he demonstrated unwavering strength, kindness, and a deep commitment to his family and community. Whether through his thoughtful advice, his hearty laughter.
He is survived by his daughter, Catherine Lura; her husband, Justin Lura; and their children, Elliana Lura and William Halloran. Stepchildren, Timothy Stoss-with his wife, Barbie Stoss-and their children Ashley klous, Alyssa Nordvik, Steven Stoss, Allan Stoss, Stacy Stoss, and Nathaniel Stoss. As well as Christine Stoss-with her partner, Victor Pursche, and their son, Avery Pursche. Great grandchildren Cole and Lydia Nordvik. Mark was also formerly married to Roseann Mackenthun, with whom he shared over 35 years of his life.
A visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m., with a luncheon to follow at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday March 20, 2025 at Central Lutheran Church 1103 School Street Elk River, MN 55330 to celebrate his life and honor his memory.
While we mourn the loss of a truly remarkable man, we also celebrate a life well-lived-a life filled with love, laughter, and kindness. Mark's memory will forever remain in our hearts.
May he rest in eternal peace.
