KISSIMMEE, Fla. - Mark Gregory Maloy, 67, entered heaven on June 30, 2025, after a brief illness, with his sister, Rita Maloy by his side, at Poinciana Hospital in Kissimmee, Fla.
He was born in Albany N.Y., the youngest son of the late Gerald P. Maloy and the late Rita Plantz Maloy. The family lived in Albany, and later Winter Park, Fla.
Mark graduated from Winter Park High School. Soon after, he was employed by Disney World in Orlando and made a career out of it, working his way up to professional chef over the next 45 years. He retired at 63, and was awarded by Disney Orlando for his loyal service.
Mark loved music and sports. Barry Manilow and Frank Sinatra were his favorites. He also loved watching the Buccaneers and Yankees games.
Mark was preceded in death by his siblings, Gerald Maloy, Terry Maloy and Maureen Dewitt, all of Albany N.Y. He is survived by his sisters, Susan Maloy Murante, of North Creek N.Y., and Rita Maloy, of Cape Cod, Mass.; and nieces and nephews, Denise McNeil, Tracey Ennis, Richard Dewitt, Mathew Dewitt, Shawn Maloy, Bridget Cooke, Cassandra Maloy, Audra Jones, Aaron Robert Maloy, Jason Murante and Julie Murante Miller; and 11 grandnieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held November 22, 2025, at 12 p.m., at Victory Chapel, 35 Morrison Ave, Troy, N.Y. (Donations may be made to Victory Chapel c/o Pastor Mitch Connors, same address).
