Mark McElroy

We announce the passing of our beloved Mark McElroy, who left this world on January 4, 2026. Mark was a bright light in the lives of all who knew him. He was born on June 12, 1956 in Dallas, TX, the son of the late Joseph McElroy Jr and the late Lillian Ann Valek McElroy. His gregarious spirit enriched family and friends, reminding us of the importance of love, connection, and joy in our lives.

Mark was a much-loved brother who touched the hearts of many. He had a special gift for bringing people joy. His passion for life was evident in his friendliness and bright smiles.

Survivors include his siblings: Joseph McElroy and spouse Linda Holt, Pat McElroy and spouse Jeanette, Eileen Hager and spouse Jon, Philip McElroy, Mary Ann Pate and spouse Pate, Andrea McElroy, Lillian Gillham, Timothy McElroy and spouse Hannah, Robert McElroy and spouse Angie Sinkovits and Denis McElroy, as well as many nieces and nephews. Mark was preceded in death by a brother, Mike McElroy.

To celebrate Mark's extraordinary life, a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will occur at 10 am, January 9, 2026 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Grand Prairie followed by a celebration of life at the home of Joseph McElroy and Linda Holt. We invite all to come together who were touched by his warmth and joy.

Mark McElroy will forever be remembered for his infectious happiness and unwavering love for his family and friends. As we gather to celebrate his life, let us reflect on the joyful moments we shared and carry his spirit in our hearts.
