Mark Moulton Obituary

Moulton, Mark
QUEENSBURY - It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved family member, Mark J. Moulton. He left this world peacefully surrounded by his loving family after a short, but very courageous battle with cancer on March 20, 2025.
Mark was born on June 9, 1962, to John and Nancy (LeRoux) Moulton at Samaritan Hospital in Troy, N.Y. Mark graduated from Hudson Falls High School in 1980 and went on to attend Daemen University in Amherst, N.Y. Shortly after, Mark joined the United States Army, proudly serving his country.
Mark was immensely proud to be a Tiger, excelling in several sports. However, he had a deep love for wrestling. Mark is still well known in his Hudson Falls community, and has remained close to many classmates, especially his long time best friends, Donny LeBarron and Mike Havens, with whom he considered brothers.
He was also a very active and devoted member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks. Mark considered the Elks as an extension of his own family. In what would have been his 30th year, the bonds and camaraderie he formed with his fellow Elks brought him great happiness. Mark served as an Officer and Trustee for many years, and participated in countless community events.
Mark was an avid fan of Notre Dame football, NY Yankees, and Syracuse basketball and endured years of hackling for being a Cowboys fan, but stayed loyal to them until the end.
Mark also loved the outdoors. Whether he was on a boat on Lake George, or up at camp on Schroon River, Mark was in his element. Mark also spent many summers at Salisbury Beach with his beloved cousins Helen and Bruce Hidley, and many close friends.
In addition to his parents, Mark is survived by his daughter, Erica Moulton; and granddaughter, Ava Moulton-Altarac, both of Queensbury. As the middle child of five, he is also survived by his brother, Kevin Moulton (Tracey) of South Glens Falls; sister, Beth Single (Stephen) of Kattskill Bay; brother, David Moulton (Amy) of Saratoga; and his baby sister, Michelle Hammond (Tom) of Queensbury. Along with countless nieces, nephews, and cousins with whom he loved dearly. Mark is also survived by his beloved girlfriend, Kim Edwards of Queensbury.
To know Mark was to know kindness. He was never one for fanfare and often showed his love and kindness quietly. He fought courageously and valiantly right up until the end. His family meant everything to him, especially his daughter and granddaughter. He was the best Dad and Pepe to them both. Life will not be the same without his infectious laugh and kind smile.
Mark's family would like to extend sincerest gratitude to all who were involved in his care, Dr. Darci Grubbs, Dr. Amy Hogan-Moulton, as well as the nursing staff at Glens Falls Hospital, and Albany Medical Center.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Tadd's Giving Heart, a charity organization for helping children in need which is being established. In the meantime, donations can be made to Warren County Sheriff's Office PBA, c/o Tadd Casey, 1400 State Rt. 9, Lake George, N.Y. 12845, where they will be held until this charity organization is officially established.
Family and friends may call on Friday, March 28, 2025, from 2:00-4:00 p.m., and 6:00-8:00 p.m., at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main St., Hudson Falls. Glens Falls Elks Lodge #81 will be conducting a Lodge of Sorrow at 7:30 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Church of St. Mary's-St. Paul's in Hudson Falls, followed by a private Burial.
A celebration of Mark's life will be held at the Glens Falls Elks Lodge, 32 Cronin Rd., Queensbury, N.Y. on Saturday, March 29, at 1:00 p.m. As part of this Celebration there will be the opportunity to contribute to the charity.
In honor of Mark, you are welcome to find your best tie dye gear and celebrate Mark's life the way he would have and wanted with music, laughter, good food, family and friends

To all the Moultons, my dear friend Nancy and my former ´children´ -students Kevin, David, Beth and Michelle, my heart breaks for you all. Mark was a good guy...just like you all were. I know how impossibly difficult this has been for you all, as I lost our Kristen 4 years ago to that dreadful disease. I know you never heal completely from this loss, but time will help and your remembrances of Mark´s influence in your life will help you accept. Please know I´ll be thinking of you all with a full heart.
With love,
Mrs (Maureen) Temple

My condolences to the entire Moulton family. He thought the world of all of you and often commented on the closeness you had as a family. Mark´s kindness was exhibited by his many efforts at the Elk´s Lodge such as preparing dinners for the Vet House, coordinating the Elk´s Children Christmas parties, and providing food for our many older members. His friendship and camaraderie will be greatly missed by us all. May he rest in peace.
