Mark A. MurrayJuly 26, 1965 – October 19, 2025Mark A. Murray, 60, of Clearwater, Florida, passed away on October 19, 2025, at HCA Largo Medical Hospital.Mark was born on July 26, 1965, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of the late Charles William Murray and Patricia Franzen Murray. He married Carolyn (Carrie) Herman on August 26, 1974, in front of the Justice of the Peace in Clermont County, and together they shared 31 wonderful years of marriage. In 1999, Mark moved from Cincinnati to Clearwater for work at Tech Data. He often joked that Florida had only two seasons-"hot and hell." His professional journey began with a deep love for computers that started in high school when his parents gave him his first computer. He took computer classes and began working at Radio Shack, later continuing his career at Entex, Tech Data, and finally Dandh Distributing.Mark had a lifelong curiosity about how things worked. When his hands weren't on a keyboard, he was often tinkering with household appliances-especially vacuum cleaners-figuring out why they stopped working and putting them back together. His favorite saying was, "There are two types of people in this world: those that understand binary and those that don't."He took great pride in his work at Tech Data, often saying he couldn't believe he was being paid to do something he found so enjoyable. Mark never had to look far for his next opportunity-he was the kind of person who built lasting friendships and connections, and those relationships often led him to his next role.Mark's interests included computers, science fiction, and "Star Trek" in all its forms. He watched every series and spin-off with enthusiasm. Above all, he was a kind, loving, and caring person who deeply valued his family and friends. He is survived by his mother, Patricia Franzen Murray; sister, Pamela Murray; niece, Emily; and nephews, Logan and Kaleb. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles William Murray, and his brother, Andy.Mark will be remembered for his curiosity, humor, intelligence, and the warmth he shared with everyone around him.A memorial service will be announced at a later date.In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions in Mark's honor to Canine Care of Tampa Bay.
