Mark Patterson, 68, of Augusta, GA passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, February 5, 2026 surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services will be held 2:15 p.m., Saturday, February 14, 2026 at Hatcher Funeral Home, 3464 Jefferson Davis Hwy., Langley, SC 29834 with the Reverends Brad Willis and Wayne Todd officiating; burial will follow in the Mt. Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery, 856 Mt. Beulah Rd., Windsor, SC 29856. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Hatcher Funeral Home on Saturday. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Allen Thompson, Christopher Thompson, James Priest, Brandon Broome, Jose Tovar, and Buddy Childers. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.

Born in Augusta, GA, he was a son of the late Reverend John S. Patterson Jr. and Annabell Thompson Seago. He was a chemical operator having worked at the Savannah River Site and retired from Savannah River Nuclear Solutions after 29 ½ years of service. Mark was of the Baptist Faith and grew up singing gospel music on the radio with his Momma after his Daddy would preach. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Some of his happiest moments were spent in the woods or on the water. He was especially devoted to his two dachshunds, Annabell and Trixie, whom he affectionately call his girls. Accidents seemed to find him, but he met each one with resilience and a good sense of humor.

Survivors include his loving wife of 24 years, Lisa Pennington Patterson; his sister and brother-in-law, Melanie (Jose) Tovar of Grovetown, GA; his brother and sister-in-law, David (Ruth) Patterson of Souderton, PA; and his nieces and nephews, Danielle (Chris) Phillips, Brandon Broome, Christopher Thompson, Jessica (James) Priest, Brandon (Lauren) Tovar, Jordan Tovar, Chase Tovar, Eva Broome, Remington Priest, Cecily Priest, Xander Tovar, Sage Tovar, Ryan Patterson, and Armani Broome.
