Mark Vernon Pelton

On January 10th, 2024, family and friends mourned the passing of Mark Vernon Pelton, age 69. Mark will be greatly missed and will be remembered by many for his kind heart, unwavering compassion and his effortless way of befriending anyone, anywhere and anytime.  His ability to see the good in everyone was unparalleled and made him one of the easiest people to speak to, lean on and confide in. 

Mark Vernon Pelton, born September 25th, 1954 was son to Vernon and Roma Pelton and brother to Bill, Frank, Dale and Michele. He was husband to Teri Pelton for 49 beautiful years and loving father to Heather, Shanna and David; father-in-law to Kristine, Adam, Justin and Anthony. Mark was “Papa” to Brandie, Micheal, Madison, Mark, Landon, Aubrynn, Sophia, Grace, Winter, Luke, Owen and Finn and great-grandfather to Teagan.  

Although he endured a long and painful battle with cancer, Mark passed the same way he lived, peacefully.   His impact is profound among his family, friends and the countless young lives he encountered during his 30-year commitment as a youth football coach.
