Mark Lloyd Pitman

I met Mark in junior high school at Finneytown. We had a blast growing up together, somehow mostly avoiding trouble. As we got a bit older (around 16 err I mean 18), we´d meet up at the Rustic Tavern. It was our hangout spot, where we´d catch up, have fun and laugh together, he always had that infectious smile on his face, and I always remembered he would call me "buddy"
However, as life took us down different paths, we lost touch. Years later, by chance, we ran into each other of all places on a driving range. Neither of us knew the other even played golf. Mark had a permanent tee time at Kingswood Golf Course that began when the sunlight was just light enough to see. Ugg! But he loved it.
For one glorious summer we played golf together every Saturday at sunrise.That´s when I realized how passionate he was about golf. He could hit a golf ball with a three iron farther than anyone I knew, with just a beautiful little fade on it, right down the middle. It was a thing of beauty . On the other hand, his driver was a different story. He had no idea where the ball was going. He´d only pull his driver out of his bag when he was feeling lucky. Haha!
Rest in peace, good buddy. Until we meet again on the other side.
Have fun playing on that big beautiful golf course in the sky. Keep your game sharp, maybe by the time I get there, you´ll have mastered your driver. Love you, miss you.
