It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Mark Wayne Price, who left us peacefully on September 28, 2024, in Hagerstown, Maryland. Born on May 22, 1962, from College Park and Greenbelt Maryland. Mark was a beloved husband, dedicated father, cherished son, brother, uncle and friend.
Mark dedicated many years of his life to the publishing industry before spending the last 16 years at Frederick Community College, positively impacting the lives of countless individuals along the way. His commitment to his career was just one reflection of the diligence and passion that characterized his life.
A proud graduate of Eleanor Roosevelt High School, Mark held strong connections with his family and friends. He often reminisced about the joyful summers spent visiting his sister and family in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, a place that always felt like home and where he had envisioned retirement with his loving wife, Leslie, and their treasured daughter, Kelli.
Family was everything to Mark. He is survived by his devoted wife of 29 years, Leslie Price; his adoring daughter, Kelli Price; his loving mother, Elizabeth Price; and his sisters, Wanda Mooney, Sharon Price, and Donna Price. His pride and joy will forever be his beautiful daughter Kelli, whom he often spoke of with overwhelming love. She was known to all, thanks to her father’s unwavering admiration and pride.
He loved to bowl with family and friends, bringing people together for friendly competition and cherished memories. An avid football fan, he remained a dedicated supporter of The Washington Redskins, often sharing his enthusiasm for the game with those around him.
Though we mourn the loss of a remarkable man, we will always remember the joy he brought into our lives, the lessons he taught us, and the love he shared so generously. Mark is preceded in death by his father Eugene Price and his brother Lenny, who will surely welcome him with open arms.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the viewing at Gasch's Funeral Home P.A. on October 3, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by the funeral service at 12:00 PM. A graveside service will take place afterwards at 1:45 PM.
