Services for Mark Ranne will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 12, 2026 at East Center Baptist Church, 4523 FM 1652, Grand Saline, Texas 75140, with Pastor Danny LaPrade officiating. Visitation will start at 1:00 p.m. He will be laid to rest at Prairie Springs Cemetery in Ben Wheeler, under the direction of Hilliard Funeral Home.
Mark Anthony Ranne was born March 12, 1967, in Dallas, Texas. He had been a resident of Canton most of his life. He worked as a barber, alongside his father, at Jerry's Barber Shop for over 30 years. He loved to watch football, attend the State Fair each year, and take his family on vacation.
Mark passed away at the age of 58 on January 8, 2026, after battling brain cancer for 5 years. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John Ranne and Burtis & Annie Mae Smith; father-in-law, Ted Huson; brother-in-law, Teddy Huson; nephew, Eli Huson; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Patricia Ranne of Canton; daughter, Alexis Ranne of Canton; parents, Jerry & Gloria Ranne of Canton; mother-in-law, Jane Huson; sister and brother-in-law, Deanna & Philip Stroud of Canton; sister-in-law, Connie Wilson; brothers-in-law, Michael Huson, Chris Huson and wife, Holly, Kevin Huson, and Brian Huson; nephews and nieces, Jacob, Elias, Mallory, Mason, Myah, Abby, Emma, Kyle, Misty, and River; and great-nephews, Sage and Lakeston.
Pallbearers will be: Philip Stroud, Jacob Stroud, Elias Stroud, Kyle Ranne, Danny LaPrade, and Johnathan McKenzie.

I was so sad to learn of Mark´s passing. He was such a kind man. When my dad was in his last couple of years, ye would come to the house to give him a haircut. My dad always looked forward to his visits. My prayers go out for comfort for his family.
