Mark William Ranzan

Mark William Ranzan (62), of Stroudsburg, PA, passed away peacefully Friday afternoon, May 6, 2022 at Monroe County Hospice House, East Stroudsburg, PA. He had been diagnosed four years ago with Multiple Myeloma. He lived courageously with the disease until the very end. Mr. Ranzan was born in Hoboken, NJ to William T. Ranzan, Jr. (deceased) and Audrey (Meier) Ranzan. He grew up in Towaco, NJ and moved to Stroudsburg, PA in 1972. He was a 1978 graduate of Notre Dame High School, East Stroudsburg, earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Finance from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania and a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Lehigh University. Mr. Ranzan had a thirty-two-year career as a commercial loan officer for several financial institutions in Monroe County. Starting his career in the credit department of United Penn Bank in 1987, he was also employed with Mellon Bank, Citizens Bank and Wayne Bank, rising to the position of Vice President of Commercial Lending. He survived by his wife, Dawn (née Charity); their son, Gregory L.; his daughter Stephanie L.; his mother, Audrey; a sister, Cynthia (Peter) Moll; three brothers, Douglas, David (Kelly) and Paul (Coleen), and three nephews and two nieces. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the Dale and Frances Hughes Cancer Center and the staff at the Monroe County Hospice House for their care throughout his illness. Funeral services will be held on Friday May 13, 2022 with visiting beginning at 3pm followed by a service at 4:00pm at the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home; 23 N. 9th Street, Stroudsburg, PA. 18360
