Mark Reynolds Obituary

Mark Reynolds went to be with the Lord on December 4, 2025. He was born on January 21, 1970, in Würzburg, Germany. As an Army brat, Mark moved many times throughout his childhood—from Germany to Alabama and Texas—before his family eventually settled in Hot Springs, Arkansas.

Mark proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1989 until 1998, when he was medically discharged. His love for his country and pride in his service remained constant throughout his life.

After completing his military service, Mark returned to Hot Springs, where he served on the front lines with the Hot Springs Police Department, frequently appearing in the pages of the Sentinel-Record for his dedication and bravery.

In 2006, Mark fulfilled a longtime dream when he opened his first gym, Elite Sports Nutrition, in Hot Springs.

In 2019, he moved to Colorado to be closer to his mother and sister, and it was there that he met and later married his wife, Sam.

Fitness was one of Mark’s greatest passions and he was a gym owner for many years, most recently owning UFC Gym Lone Tree in Lone Tree, Colorado. Bodybuilding was especially close to his heart. He competed as a young man and returned to the stage at age 54, earning 1st place in the Over 50 division in Denver and advancing to compete for his pro card.

Though his physical presence was striking, Mark’s heart was gentle. Often described as a “gentle giant,” he had a sensitive, caring soul and a gift for making others laugh. Mark loved his family deeply and cherished spending time together—especially during game nights, where his playful competitive streak always came out.

Mark loved animals, fast cars, and building and collecting RC planes, helicopters, and trucks.

Mark is survived by his wife, Samantha; his three sons, Nathan, Nicholas, and Renly; his mother, Sue Wilson; his sister, Lisa Haynes, and her husband, Woody; and his beloved nieces and nephews: Caleb, Grace, Noah, Paige, Sloane, Levi, Andrew, and Lily.

Services will be held Thursday, December 11th at 11:00 a.m. at The Dixon Chapel at Cherry Hills Community Church, 3900 Grace Blvd, Highlands Ranch, CO 80126. A military tribute will be given in honor of Mark’s service.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Humane Society Of The South Platte Valley in honor of Marks lifelong love of animals.
