There are no words that can truely express the depth of sorrow I feel. Mark was more than any best friend and best man - he was my family. He was the big brother I never had and the big brother I needed. We shared so many memories and his absence leaves a space that can never be filled. Mark was the finest soul and his good nature was beyond compare.
I will miss my friend....

I'm going miss you Mark - your smile and your laugh. You've been such an awesome friend for so much of my life. There are just so many fond memories -- be it softball, fishing, playing golf - especially down at Fernbank...lol - playing cards with you and my family. The smokebombs that old tank you used to drive spit out... Simply put - you are a GOOD person and it is an honor to call you my friend. I thank for putting up with me all these years. It's really difficult knowing I'm not going be able to see you - it saddens me deeply. But I know in my heart and in our faith that you have moved on to a better place, and God willing I look forward to seeing you again. Rest in Peace my friend. God Bless
